GOOD & EVIL & CHARLIE RABBIT

The New Novel By R. Wayne Hundley

Good & Evil and Charlie Rabbit is the story of an overweight, self-deprecating, self-described loser. Charlie’s only comfort in life is his unbending ability to blame all his personal problems and shortcomings on his family’s history, including the mysterious death of his father and the deterioration over the years of his once beautiful and exceptional mother. Nothing changes for him, even with years of therapy, until he meets the perfect girl and finally takes the first steps to remake his future, only to then be falsely accused of a horrible crime. This sets into motion a series of events that ultimately awards Charlie the opportunity to change his family’s history with Divine Intervention on his, and New York City’s, worst September day. Charlie discovers—in this black comedy—almost everything he knew about his past had been filtered through the remnants of one horrible and deadly trip to the Connecticut countryside.

Note from Author:

We all remember where we were September 11th, 2001. I was in the early stages of writing what I considered at the time to be an interesting & comedic New York story of redemption, combined with a somewhat different "Who Done It." The events of September 11th changed the story. September 11th changed everything, especially in New York. However "Good & Evil & Charlie Rabbit" is not a story about the tragedy that day , or the aftermath we are all dealing with as a nation. There's no mention in the text of airplanes, al-Qaeda, The Pentagon, or the many heroes we remember so distinctly. The book is more about the place the victims reside in history & in our own hearts. If you believe in "Good & Evil" my hope is you will understand how I, & many other people, view the victims. If you don't believe in "Good & Evil"  I hope you will enjoy this interesting & comedic New York story of redemption, combined with a somewhat different "Who Done It."
